Damien Thorn's Intervention Of Love

Bella:*sits beside Damien at the lunch table at the academy, Sierra not being there yet, Damian somewhere else*

Damien:*sighs being the first time in weeks alone with her* Bella, what are you doing?

Bella: waiting for the others so we can get our lunch?

Damien: no, I mean with your life.

Bella:*raises eyebrow* what do you mean?

Damien: Damian. He's always bossing you around, telling you what to do, who to see, when to see them, and you let him.

Bella: That's not true!

Damien: When the last time you did something you wanted? Something you really wanted?

Bella: I wanted to come over here and sit with you.

Damien: that doesn't count. I meant hang out with Sierra only-

Bella: I do that all the time!

Damien: What about Mark, or me!? You don't hang out with us alone.

Bella: you and I are doing that now!

Damien: we're probably going to be alone for less than ten minutes waiting for other people, this doesn't count.

Bella: look, what's your point, Damien?

Damien: my point is this is the first time in MONTHS you weren't attached to his hip, and I want to know why!

Bella: not true, he in fact is trying to give us our own space

Damien: no, he is showing dominance, he is showing which one of you is in charge. It's your own damn choice whether your next to him or not, and he says he wants you gone, but he doesn't. He wants you beside him all the time to bitch about you being beside him all the time.

Bella: That's ridiculous!

Damien: is it? *leans forward* tell me this, have YOU ever tried to avoid HIM and then HE chases after YOU?

Bella:*eyes widen slightly then shakes it off* so what? He thought he did something wrong-

Damien: you're saying you don't feel the same way about him avoiding you?

Bella: well, yes...

Damien: exactly. The truth is, not only does he want to make you seem obsessed when, in reality, you are actually FINE. He wants the ability, the power, to
bitch about it and make you feel you did something wrong, make you weak, and keep you tied to fix a mistake you made that doesn't even exist.

Bella: maybe I really am obsessed!

Damien: no, you're not. And I can prove it. Question one, do you text him because you want to know if he's cheating on you, or you get bored and want to talk?

Bella: well, I want to talk.

Damien: have you ever told him to not be friends with any girls?

Bella: no, but I did get pretty pissed about him being around his ex.

Damien: did you say he couldn't be her friend, though?

Bella: well, no.

Damien: do you have hobbies; if so are they less or more than three?

Bella: I have more than three...

Damien: do you hang out with your friends? Sleep over's, watching movies?

Bella: yes.

Damien: do you dream about Damian every single night?

Bella: uh, no.

Damien: interesting... do you follow him around sometimes?

Bella: yes.

Damien: do you follow any of your other friends around?

Bella: well, actually, yes.

Damien: do you miss him when he's gone?

Bella: yes...

Damien: do you miss OTHER friends when they are gone?

Bella: yes.

Damien: do you change the subject to him often?

Bella: well, yes, but mostly because I need advice on him, boys confuse me a lot.

Damien: uh huh... well, last question! Is he the first thing you think of when you wake up?

Bella: no.

Damien: well, that settles it. You are NOT obsessed. You're just about a normal teenage girl lost in love. He's just being a douche bag and using you.

Bella: so maybe I'm not obsessed, maybe he's misreading things, which is a reason to be with him, to work on issues like that.

Damien: I call bullshit.

Bella: excuse me?

Damien: you're not sure if you're being really honest with yourself.

Bella: ...

Damien: you didn't answer my question earlier, you know.

Bella:*blushes* so?

Damien: so why are you with him?

Bella: well, he's... he's kind-

Damien: no, he isn't.

Bella: ...he's smart

Damien: no, he isn't.

Bella: he's funny!

Damien: no, he isn't.

Bella: and he treats me well!

Damien: No Bella, he really doesn't! He thinks of you as like a stalker, he refuses to answer your calls or texts; he makes you feel bad about yourself, I see it in your eyes. You feel attached to him but you can do better! ...You don't deserve this, Bella. You've been through a lot in your life; you may be very well be the strongest person I know. I know how it feels to go through such hard times sometimes all you want to do is stay home all day and cry for yourself because no one else does... Bella, you deserve to be happy! You deserve to have a boy who... who not only is happy to hold your hand, but reaches for it first, who texts you good morning and good night, who isn't a pansy and calls you pet names, you deserve a man who Is going to not just kiss you, but kiss you first, and hug you first, and when you call, he actually answers or at least returns your call! You deserve someone that doesn't accuse you of being this obsessive, freaky, clingy, girl when you are in fact probably the best thing that will ever happen to him that in reality, he just can't see that if not for him, millions of men would be at your feet with flowers, chocolates, and balloons out the Wahoo! So why Bella!? Why... why him? Why pick him instead of someone who will love you... the way you deserve to be loved.

Bella: ...I don't know. I just... I feel, like he's the best I will ever have, so... I learn to deal with it. I grew up. Love isn't rainbows and sunshine, so-

Damien: but it could be! Love can be as great as anything if you let yourself love someone who loves you like that-

Bella: but NO ONE loves me like that!

Damien: that's not true, Bella. in fact id bet my life that there is not only a man who loves you like that, but would do anything for you even sitting and watching you do what you want whether its good for yourself or not if only because he loved you so much he respected you as letting you be independent to learn from your own mistakes, but still loved you anyway!

Bella: oh really? Well, where is he, Damien!?

Damien: he happens to be sitting right h-!

Damian:*sits beside Bella putting her under his arm* whoa!!! What's with the fighting?

Bella: nothing, honey. *smiles and tries to kiss him*

Damian:*pulls away* no... Later. *kisses her nose*

Bella:*smile* okay, babe.

Damien:*breathes deeply then taps his finger on the table*

Sierra:*sits next to Damien, Mark beside them* hey guys! Ready for lunch!?

Damian: Hell yeah!

Damien: I think I'll stay here, I'm not hungry... *looks at Bella*

Sierra:*raises eyebrow* that's not like you, are you sure?

Damien: yes mother, I'm fine. *smirk*

Sierra: well, okay.

Damian:*takes his arm off Bella*

Bella: Love... it's cold, can I hold your hand?

Damian: no.

Bella: why?

Damian: because I'll need it to eat, goddamn! You don't always have to be holding my hand, that's life, deal!

Bella: I'm not always holding you hand...

Damian: well it seems like it, so just chill the hell out rub your hands together, put them in your pockets, and just give me some damn legroom girl.

Bella: ...your right, I'm sorry.

Damian: *weakly*I love you.

Bella: I love you too *weak smile then reaches for his hand and retracts*

Damien: here Bella, you can wear my gloves-

Damian: nah Damien, shell be fine, right Bella?

Bella: yeah... I WILL be fine *looks Damien in the eye*

Damien: you guys need to go get lunch.

Sierra: well, I guess we'll go then.

Bella: I think I'll stay here too-

Damian: come on, you have to eat. Damien will probably have Mark sticking around, he'll be fine.

Bella: but I-

Damian: *puppy dog eyes* please???

Bella: ...okay. *looks apologetic to Damien then goes with Sierra and Damian*

Mark: *looks to Damien* did you tell her?

Damien: how can I, Mark? ...he's got her around his finger... *sigh* go on, I'll be okay I just need a few minutes alone.

Mark: okay... *leaves*

Damien: *looks over his shoulder at Bella* ...that guy? The one who loves you? Wants you? Values you? ...he's sitting right here... waiting for you... *sighs*
